Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake added a first Commonwealth gold to his collection at Birmingham 2022 with victory in the men's 4x100m relay.

Mitchell-Blake arrived in Birmingham with European and World relay gold to his name and a superb penultimate leg from the Newnham-born sprinter helped earn a Commonwealth medal in front of a home crowd.

Gold in front of a home crowd was nothing new for Mitchell-Blake, who anchored the British team to 4x100m gold in London at the 2017 World Championships, before also winning relay gold at the European Championships in Berlin, where he won silver in the 200m.

And Birmingham was just one part of a medal-laden summer, as Mitchell-Blake also earned European silver in Munich and World bronze in Eugene to cap a successful 2022.

Athletics and Para-Athletics
In front of a 30,000 strong crowd at the newly refurbished Alexander Stadium, Team England picked up a host of medals at Birmingham 2022.
