London 1934
London 1934 Commonwealth Games
London had the honour of hosting the second Games and Team England once again topped the medals table.
England, with a larger team and home advantage, added four more gold medals to their Hamilton tally thanks to heroics in athletics and boxing, the latter of which saw the nation win six of the eight medals on offer.
Arthur Sweeney and Eileen Hiscock stole the show with three gold medals each in athletics.
