Commonwealth Games England leads and manages the participation of Team England at the Commonwealth Games, working closely with each sport's National Governing Body, our funding partner Sport England, and the Games’ Organising Committee.
England is one of only six countries to have taken part in every edition of the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games since their inception in 1930.
Our most successful Games to date was Birmingham 2022, with a record-breaking 176 total medals including 58 golds. Birmingham 2022 also saw Team England's most diverse Games ever with the squad including 65 para athletes, medallists aged from 17 to 74, and more women than men representing England for the first time in Games history.
Commonwealth Games England's core purposes are to lead and manage the participation of Team England at the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games; to help deliver excellent performance environments and to represent England effectively within the Commonwealth Games Federation.
United by a love for sport, Commonwealth Games England works to raise the profile and reinforce the value and future of what we believe is a great sporting event.
