Triathlon
Paralympic triathlon bronze medallist and three-time world surfing champion Melissa Reid is never short of sports to excel in.
Moving to Cornwall aged 10, Reid took up swimming, surfing and lifesaving, proving that strength in water has only helped her dominate the triathlon scene.
The 32-year-old won bronze in Triathlon at the Rio 2016 Olympics with her guide Nicole Waters, after overtaking her American rival in a strong closing section of the race.
At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Reid finished 7th alongside guide Hazel Macleod and will be taking part in her first Commonwealth Games at Birmingham 2022.
Outside of triathlon, Reid is also the first Visually Impaired Women’s world surfing champion after claiming her three-peat in December 2021.
