Sophie Coldwell will be heading to her second Commonwealth Games in Birmingham off the back of a breakthrough year in 2021.

The Gravesend-born triathlete won World Triathlon Series medals in both Leeds and Abu Dhabi, while also finishing seventh in the World Triathlon Championship Finals in Edmonton.
She previously was crowned European champion in Tartu, Estonia, in 2018, the same year as she finished sixth at the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, while she has also won two World Cup races in sprint events in Tiszaujvaros and Cagliari.
Away from triathlon, she is an animal lover with dogs Poppy and Rocco, as well as chickens rescued from battery farming which she has named after drag queens.
After growing up near Nottingham, she now lives in Loughborough with fiancée Tom Evans, an ultra-runner.
