Chris Turnbull and guide dog James first got involved in bowls at Scarborough Indoor Centre in 2000.

Two decades on, he combined with Alison Yearling and won bronze in the pairs event at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The duo are directed by mother and son duo Sue Wherry and Mark Wherry, from Cornwall.
