The bowler from Taunton, Somerset, joined the other 16 athletes in Team England’s lawn bowls squad to compete at Broadbeach Bowls club and won a bronze medal in the men's singles.

Paxton is no stranger to success overseas having skipped England to the gold medal in the World Triples Championship in November 2016 in New Zealand.

Lawn Bowls
It was a hugely successful campaign at Leamington Spa’s Victoria Park and some thrilling games saw Team England leave the plush lawn with six medals including two gold, two silver and two bronze.
