Noorin Gulam took part in her first weightlifting competition just six weeks after starting the sport - and she hasn't looked back since.

Gulam began lifting in her GCSE PE lessons and soon developed a talent and love for the sport.

She was crowned 2022 British Champion in the 49kg weight class and broke the national record with her 88kg Clean and Jerk lift.

The 26-year-old has faced numerous ups and downs in her career through injury but never failed to bounce back, using her love of music as a motivator before competition.

Outside of her own sporting achievements, Gulam is a weightlifting coach and content creator.
