Ali Jawad made his third Commonwealth Games appearance on the Gold Coast after winning a bronze medal at Glasgow 2014.

Ali joined the other para-powerlifters in Team England’s squad to compete at the Carrara Sports and Leisure Centre where he won bronze in the men's lightweight category.

He is coached by Tom Whittaker in Loughborough.
