Matthew Dixon

Diving

After a silver medal double in the Gold Coast four years ago, Team England’s Matthew Dixon will be looking to upgrade to gold this time around in Birmingham.

He made his first Commonwealth Games appearance in Glasgow at the tender age of 14, finishing ninth in the 10m platform.

The Plymouth diver certainly has no fear when it comes to putting together a complex routine.

Aged 15 Dixon was commended for his bravery at the Baku European Games when a complex dive went wrong leaving him needing medical treatment, coming out again to finish fourth.

Also a two-time bronze medallist at the European Diving Championships, Dixon won’t be fazed by a home Games this summer.
