Iain Dawson is a multiple World and European champion.

He became a paratriathlete in 2009 after years in para-cycling, during which time he became a Paralympian at Sydney 2000.

A well-rounded and evergreen athlete, the visually impaired 45-year-old broke the Ironman world record in 2019 alongside guide Duncan Shea-Simmonds.

Away from sport, Iain is a physiotherapist for the NHS, helping those with learning disabilities overcome their physical limitations.

Kick-starting the Team England medal count on the opening day, Alex Yee and Georgia Taylor-Brown delivered Team England a Gold and Silver apiece, before bookending a dominant Mixed Relay title winning team on Sunday 31st July alongside Sophie Coldwell and Sam Dickinson to a rapturous support around Sutton Park.
