Team England’s boxers put on a faultless display as they won five gold medals between them while competing at the Gee Bee tournament in Finland.

Commonwealth medallists Frazer Clarke, Cheavon Clarke, and Luke & Pat McCormack were joined by fellow Team England representative Ben Whittaker as part of a seven-strong Great Britain squad competing at the tournament.

All five Team England boxers won their respective gold medal bouts to take home a clean sweep of silverware across all five weight divisions.

Luke McCormack was also named the best tournament’s best technical boxer for his performances in the 64kg division, while the squad as a whole won the award for best team of the tournament.

Squad selected for European Championships

Six Team England gymnasts have been named in the British team for next month’s European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Poland.

Defending European floor champion Dom Cunningham is joined by his fellow Commonwealth gold medal winning teammates James Hall, Courtney Tulloch and Max Whitlock.

After an impressive fourth-place finish in the team event at last year’s championships, Alice Kinsella is selected once again alongside Commonwealth beam bronze medallist Kelly Simm.

Triple Gold Coast Commonwealth gold medallist Nile Wilson will miss the championships as he recovers from injury.
