Day 9 of the Commonwealth Games sees Team England diving in for more medals with multiple Commonwealth medallist Tom Daley taking to the board.

Daley begins his highly anticipated Gold Coast campaign in the men’s synchronised 10m platform final alongside Daniel Goodfellow - who Daley partnered to win Olympic bronze with two years ago in Rio. Also in the final are the English pairing of Matthew Dixon and Noah Williams.

Jack Laugher also returns to the board, aiming to continue his Gold Coast winning streak after a string of terrific performances that have seen him win gold in the men’s 1m and 3m springboard finals. Tomorrow, he returns alongside Chris Mears as the reigning European, Olympic and Commonwealth champions seek to defend their title in the 3m synchronised platform final.

Meanwhile, Katherine Torrance and Alicia Blagg dive for their second medal of the games in the women’s 1m Springboard event, having combined to take silver in the 3m synchronised final.

The women’s heptathlon also comes to a conclusion, with England currently situated amongst the medals. Katarina Johnson-Thompson enters the second and final day of competition in pole position, while Niamh Emerson sits just outside the medals in fourth.

Elsewhere, 15-year-old Hannah Martin goes for gold on her Commonwealth Games debut. She competes in the rhythmic gymnastics ball final and the women’s basketball team have a huge semi-final match against Canada.

They’re not the only team in semi-final action however, as England’s men take on defending champions Australia in the last four of the men’s hockey competition.

Team England are also well represented inside the boxing arena with eight members of the squad lacing up their gloves for their semi-final bouts.

Finally, in athletics, James Arnott looks to improve on a successful 2017 in tomorrow’s T47 100m final. The women’s Shot Put final also takes place, and Andrew Vernon finds himself in the men’s 10,000m final.
