With five Commonwealth Games medals to her name before 2022, Lauren Smith was already a Team England legend before winning two more silvers in Birmingham.

The Cumbria shuttler added both mixed doubles and women's doubles silver medals to her collection, taking her tally to seven Commonwealth medals.

Her medal run started with silver in the mixed team event at Glasgow 2014 as well as women’s doubles bronze alongside Gabby Adcock. 

Smith brought three medals back from the Gold Coast in 2018, including silver in the women’s doubles with Sarah Walker and mixed team bronze.
