Jamie Barden's rugby journey began aged seven for hometown club Cranleigh, before rising through the ranks at Harlequins.

A leg break aged 16 and a ligament tear aged 18 nearly dashed his hopes, but Barden bounced back to make his England Sevens debut aged 19.

Barden has also excelled off the pitch, completing a law degree at the University of Nottingham, and is now gunning for a medal in Birmingham this summer.
