Life looks a little bit different for Jamell Anderson but one thing remains the same from Birmingham 2022: he is out to win gold.
Anderson was part of the England side that won a dramatic gold four years ago, as Myles Hesson’s buzzer beater defeated Australia.
Anderson has since become a dad, to daughter Harper, and got a job in the corporate world alongside continuing to represent his country.
It is a difficult balance but his resolve to retain the Commonwealth title has never waned as Anderson bids to continue the growth of the 3x3 game.
His Commonwealth journey started at Gold Coast 2018, where he made headlines by proposing to partner Georgia Jones on court.

For the first time 3x3 Running Basketball and 3x3 Wheelchair Basketball joined the Commonwealth Games roster.
