Jade Lally swapped jumping for throwing and never looked back. The discus thrower started out as a high jumper but made the switch after excelling with the discus from her first try.
Since then, the 35-year-old has been crowned British champion seven times and will be competing at her fourth Commonwealth Games, having won bronze in 2014.
Despite being a veteran at the Games, Lally will have a new experience, as her daughter Nyla will be able to watch on after Lally took time away to become a mum in 2019.
