Daisy Mumby carved out an unconventional route to Team England.

A talented recreational player who has transitioned from indoor volleyball to its beach counterpart, her ten-year stay in the sport has gained new momentum of late. 

The brilliant blocker has teamed up with experienced Commonwealth Games veteran Jess Grimson and the pair made their World Tour debut in late 2021. 

They beat the best in the country at May’s Selection Tournament, the biggest beach volleyball tournament on home soil since London 2012, to seal a spot at a home Games.

The pair reached the knockout stages at Birmingham 2022 before falling to New Zealand in the quarterfinals.
