After a long spell playing 15s, Charlie entered the England Sevens squad in 2014, and was part of Team England's squad that finished fifth at Glasgow 2014. 

The former Nottingham, London Scottish, Worcester, Mosely and London Wasps player was a reserve for the Team GB squad during the 2016 Olympic Games and travelled to the Gold Coast as England's 13th man.
