Team England’s Jack Laugher won at the FINA Diving World Series in Russia
Continuing his success in April with achieving silver in Montreal, this weekend Jack Laugher won gold in the FINA World Diving Series. He accumulated 499.30 points from six dives in the men’s 3m springboard in Kazan, Russia.
Laugher will be celebrated upon his return to London next week, as he takes part in the last stages of the World Series ahead of the World Championships in South Korea, this July.
IAAF World Relay Championships
On Sunday, Great Britain won bronze in the World Relay Championships in Yokohama, Japan.
The men’s 4x100 men’s team made up of, CJ Ujah, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Adam Gemili and, Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake, finished with a time of 38.14 seconds, beating China by one millisecond.
Women’s Sevens
England Women Sevens placed sixth in the HSBC Langford Sevens in Canada, after the hosts won 31-7.
Although they missed out on the win, there were some great games played throughout this leg of series.
Their previous game against Russia was a success, with England winning 29-17, and on day one they beat China with an impressive score of 38-0.
