Steeplechaser Zak Seddon returns for his second Commonwealth Games appearance this summer, having put in a creditable performance on his debut at Birmingham 2022.
Seddon – whose younger brother, Steve, is a professional footballer for AFC Wimbledon – finished eighth at the Alexander Stadium, one of his highest placings at a major international competition.
As a teenager, he won a gold medal at the 2011 Commonwealth Youth Games in Douglas, Isle of Man and also finished top of the podium at the 2013 European Junior Championships.
He is a two-time UK champion (in 2018 and 2019), competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and ran at two World Championships – London 2017 and Doha 2019 – as well as finishing fifth at the 2018 European Championships in Berlin.
