For Zac Shaw blindness is a spectrum, but ignorance is opaque.
The 26-year-old has never let Stargardt syndrome stop him, balancing life as a model and a personal and nutrition trainer alongside a promising sprinting career.
And he has also excelled academically, studying at Sheffield Hallam University and now training under former Commonwealth Games champion Leon Baptiste at Loughborough.
A former school games champion as a teenager, Shaw represented Team England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast and claimed a silver medal at Birmingham 2022.
Since then, he has claimed four medals on the world stage, also adding Paralympic silver in the mixed 4x100m relay and bronze in the T12 100m at Paris 2024.
