For Zac Shaw blindness is a spectrum, but ignorance is opaque.

The 26-year-old has never let stargardt syndrome stop him, balancing life as a model and a personal and nutrition trainer alongside a promising sprinting career.

And he has also excelled academically, studying at Sheffield Hallam University and now training under former Commonwealth Games champion Leon Baptiste at Loughborough.

A former school games champion as a teenager, Shaw represented Team England at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast and at Birmingham 2022 claimed a silver medal.

In front of a 30,000 strong crowd at the newly refurbished Alexander Stadium, Team England picked up a host of medals at Birmingham 2022.
