Will Perry has emerged from the highly successful Northampton Swimming Club to make his Paralympic debut aged 21.

It capped a rapid rise in the sport with Perry only having made his senior international debut at the 2021 European Championships.

In Tokyo, the Banbury star showed his versatility by competing in three events, performing best in the SM6 200m individual medley where he finished 13th.

Since the Paralympics Perry has used his platform to champion change in relation to social attitudes to dwarfism and was approached to give a TED talk on the subject in early 2022.

Tom Dean aka “The SubmaDean” followed up his double Olympic triumph at Tokyo 2020 by making history in Birmingham, becoming the first Home Nations athlete to win seven medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
