Paralympic champion William Ellard added the Commonwealth title to his name when he represented Team England for the first time in 2026.
Ellard stormed to S14 200m freestyle gold at Paris 2024, where he set a new world record, and followed that up with another victory in the mixed 4x100m relay. He also added a silver medal in the S14 100m butterfly.
The 20-year-old then stood atop the Commonwealth podium in Glasgow, to further furnish his already impressive medal collection, as he added the S14 200m freestyle gold to his world title in the same event.
He is also he current S14 100m freestyle world record holder, after clocking 50.41s at the 2026 British Championships.
The Beccles-born swimmer was appointed an MBE in 2025 for his services to swimming.
