Tom Sorsby earned Commonwealth bronze at Birmingham 2022 to cap off a whirlwind start to his international career.

Sorsby has enjoyed a rapid rise since making his international debut in 2019, representing Team GB at the Tokyo Olympics before picking up a first senior international medal in Birmingham.

The rugged defender, also adept in attack, has been a mainstay for both England and Great Britain, featuring in almost every game since his maiden appearance.

A key member of Surbiton men’s side, Sorsby began his career at Chapletown Hockey Club and later turned out for the University of Nottingham.

The 25-year-old achieved a 2.1 in History while studying at the East Midlands university and even had a stint as a social media consultant for Matchstick Media - a company run by and for elite athletes.
