Prior to his retirement, Tom Bosworth dominated British walking from the moment he claimed his first national crown in 2010.

Bosworth won 21 national titles during his career and set world bests in the race walks over the mile and 3000m outdoors and indoors, both set at UK meetings in front of a vociferous home crowd.

He secured a silver medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Australia but finished seventh at Birmingham 2022.

Bosworth’s best finish at an Olympic Games came at Rio 2016 when he finished a little outside the medals in sixth.

In August 2022, he competed in one final race at his home club in Tonbridge as a show of appreciation to those people who supported him when he entered the sport.

Athletics and Para-Athletics
In front of a 30,000 strong crowd at the newly refurbished Alexander Stadium, Team England picked up a host of medals at Birmingham 2022.
