Thomas Young was one of the stars of Tokyo 2020 for ParalympicsGB, winning 100m gold in the T38 classification on debut.
He came into the event as a double European champion, having triumphed over 100m and 200m in Berlin in 2018, before winning world silver in 2019.
Injury denied Young a Commonwealth debut in Birmingham in 2022, although he was in attendance after withdrawing.
While recovering from that injury, Young finished off the podium at the worlds in 2023, but claimed a second silver a year later in Kobe.
Young narrowly missed out on a medal at his second Paralympics in Paris, finishing fourth in the 100m by just a hundredth of a second.
But he responded by claiming a bronze medal at the Worlds in 2025 in New Delhi. He will now make his Commonwealth debut in Glasgow.
