Tess Howard will hope to use the Commonwealth Games to bounce back from the heartbreak of missing the Tokyo Olympics through injury.

Howard, who took up hockey due to the lack of options to play rugby, marched through England age-groups and won bronze at the 2017 European Junior Championships.

The forward would have been a key part of the team that went on to win bronze were it not for rupturing her ACL in the build-up - she returned to the England ranks for the 2022 FIH Pro League season.

Howard has a degree in geography from Durham University and is currently reading Politics at the London School of Economics.
