Perseverance has paid off for Stoke-on-Trent's Shaun Burrows, who finished an excellent fourth in the T38 100m final at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The track star almost called time on his career in 2018 after a long-term hamstring injury but bounced back to reach his first Paralympics in Tokyo.

Burrows, who has cerebral palsy, finished seventh in the T38 400-metre final in Tokyo, while his medal collection includes a 2015 World Championship bronze and European 400m silver.
