Samuel Jose will make his major Games debut at Glasgow 2026 when he competes in the long jump at Scotstoun Stadium.
The Penzance local will be hoping to follow fellow Cornwall native Molly Caudery in impressing on the Commonwealth Games stage.
Jose first showed potential when he joined British Athletics’ Paralympic Development Academy and has since competed internationally.
A national champion in the T20 long jump, Jose progressed onto the England Athletics senior programme, while balancing his sport with studying carpentry and joinery.
Jose represented England last year at the WPA Paris Grand Prix, finishing sixth and will now look to build on that at the Commonwealth Games.
