Oliver Morgan will make his Commonwealth Games debut at Glasgow 2026.

The Birmingham-based swimmer burst onto the scene at the 2023 Aquatics GB Championships with a hat-trick of backstroke victories.

The following year, he stormed into the history books as he broke Liam Tancock's long-standing 100m backstroke British record. Since then, he has lowered the standard once more to 52.12 seconds.

Morgan has admitted that he did not take swimming seriously until he was 18-years-old but just three years later he became an Olympian at Paris 2024, finishing eighth in the men's 100m backstroke.

At the 2026 Aquatics GB Championships, Morgan won his 11th consecutive British title and will be carrying that energy into his Team England bow this summer.

Swimming and Para-Swimming
Tom Dean aka “The SubmaDean” followed up his double Olympic triumph at Tokyo 2020 by making history in Birmingham, becoming the first Home Nations athlete to win seven medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
