Ojie Edoburun made a golden Commonwealth Games debut, as he anchored Team England to victory in the men's 4x100m relay.

It marked a first senior medal for the 26-year-old who rocketed to selection for the 2016 Rio Olympics aged just 20 after a strong junior career which saw him pick up 100m silver at the 2013 IAAF World Youth Championships.

Despite his rapid success, it hasn’t always been plain sailing for the track and field athlete with Edoburun confessing that achieving success at such a young age brought him to breaking point when he was not selected for the 2017 World Championships.

But the North London native bounced back in style with Commonwealth gold in front of a home crowd at his maiden games.

Athletics and Para-Athletics
In front of a 30,000 strong crowd at the newly refurbished Alexander Stadium, Team England picked up a host of medals at Birmingham 2022.
