American-born guard Nina Rickards goes into her Commonwealth Games debut as a reserve for Team England’s 3x3 basketball team in Glasgow.
She crossed the Atlantic having played in the prestigious NCAA Championship in the United States for both the Florida Gators and the Louisville Cardinals.
Rickards has since played in Cyprus for AEL Limassol and in Lithuania for Neptunas and first featured in 3x3 for Great Britain in 2025 while also playing a part in their qualification campaign for the 2027 Women’s EuroBasket.

For the first time 3x3 Running Basketball and 3x3 Wheelchair Basketball joined the Commonwealth Games roster.
