Commonwealth Appearances

Michelle White has described bowls as her “lifeline”.

In her Commonwealth Games debut in Birmingham, White reached the bronze medal match alongside partner Gill Platt. The pair narrowly missing out on a medal to South Africa.

The 47-year-old from Kent was inspired to get involved by her parents, and the sport, which started as a hobby, allowed her to represent her country at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

White has starred for Disability Bowls England across several International test matches, and she would have made her debut at the Para International Home Nations Championships were it not postponed due to Covid-19.

White is also a member of VCD Bowls Club, securing her Kent County Badge in 2021. On top of being one of the best in her sport, White is also a fantastic ambassador for it.
