Matthew Redfern is set for his Commonwealth Games debut for Team England this summer.

The S13 swimmer heads to Glasgow alongside younger sister Becky, having made his Paralympic bow at Paris 2024.

The Droitwich swimmer came out of retirement in 2022 to be part of the visually-impaired relay squad and competed at his first individual event at the World Championships a year later.

A hardcore Kidderminster Harriers football fan, Redfern works as a senior operations analyst at a hospitality intelligence company in Worcester away from the pool.

Swimming and Para-Swimming
Tom Dean aka “The SubmaDean” followed up his double Olympic triumph at Tokyo 2020 by making history in Birmingham, becoming the first Home Nations athlete to win seven medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
