Matthew Harding is continuing to make his family proud as he heads to his second Commonwealth Games.

Harding lost his father just before his debut at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and his grandmother shortly after and says they continue to prove a point of inspiration.

The Wirral native had only been powerlifting for a year before the Birmingham 2022 Games, having previously been a successful swimmer.

Harding earned European gold shortly after his first Commonwealth appearance and made his Paralympic debut at Paris 2024.

When not powerlifting, Harding can be found watching any other sport possible including his favourite teams Manchester United and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
