Maria Verdeille made her Commonwealth Games debut on the Gold Coast.

Maria, from Hertfordshire, competed at the Carrara Stadium in the T35 100m event and placed sixth in the final.

She is coached by Cathy Walker at Stevenage and North Herts Athletics Club
