Marc Scott is a double British champion, having won the 5000m in 2018 and 2020.  

The 28-year-old, who went to university in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is the current European record holder in the indoor 5000m and the British record holder for the road 5km.   

He represented his country at the 2021 Olympic Games and is coming into his own this year, winning his first global medal at the World Indoor Championships in March, taking bronze in the 3000m.

He ran a season best at Birmingham 2022, finishing fourth with a time of 13:19.64.

In front of a 30,000 strong crowd at the newly refurbished Alexander Stadium, Team England picked up a host of medals at Birmingham 2022.
