West Midlands native Mandhir Kooner will got the chance to strut his stuff in an England vest at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. 

It was a bronze medal for the Wolverhampton-born wrestler who competed in the men's freestyle 125kg category.

He burst onto the scene with silver at the 2018 English Championships, beaten by Ben Pollin in the heavyweight category.

Kooner has come on a bundle since then and took gold at the 2022 event, beating Pollin in the process, to set up a tilt at a medal in his own backyard.
