Teenage star Maddie Down is set for her Commonwealth Games debut at Glasgow 2026. 

Down burst onto the scene at the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games in Trinbago, where she won gold in both the 100m and long jump aged just 15. 

The teenager made her Paralympic debut in Paris a year later, finishing eighth in the final of the T38 100m and sixth in the T38 long jump. 

Down then appeared at her first World Championships in 2025, where she set a new long jump personal best en route to a fifth-place finish. 

The teenager is studying at the University of Birmingham alongside her athletic pursuits.
