Luke Turley is putting his faith in the expert guidance of coaching guru Dave McNulty in his bid for success in Birmingham.

Based at the Bath National Centre, the freestyle specialist is hoping to follow in the footsteps of McNulty-coached stars like Tom Dean, James Guy and Siobhan-Marie O'Connor who all reached the Olympic podium.

Turley finished second behind Olympian Daniel Jervis in the 400m freestyle at the 2022 British Swimming Championships, which was enough to qualify for a Commonwealth debut on home soil.

Tom Dean aka “The SubmaDean” followed up his double Olympic triumph at Tokyo 2020 by making history in Birmingham, becoming the first Home Nations athlete to win seven medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
