Luke Greenbank is in a class of his own after a history-making time at the Tokyo Olympics and is bidding to add a Commonwealth Games gold medal to his collection.

Greenbank became the first member of Team GB to win an Olympic backstroke men’s medal over 200m during the summer of 2021 in Japan when he took bronze.

He was not done there, however, taking silver in the 4x100m medley relay to match his result in the same event when representing Team England at the last Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in 2018, where he announced himself on the senior swimming stage.

Together with superstar coach Mel Marshall, Greenbank has forged a dream team and even moved from his home town of Cockermouth to Loughborough having worked with Marshall in Derby.

Tom Dean aka “The SubmaDean” followed up his double Olympic triumph at Tokyo 2020 by making history in Birmingham, becoming the first Home Nations athlete to win seven medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
