Two-time World Cup medallist Lucy Kings-Wheatley arrives at her first Commonwealth Games having shown she belongs at the elite level.
Competing in the women’s 60kg division, she first proved her worth at home by winning her first national championship in only her second fight in 2022.
Kings-Wheatley missed out on the medal stages at her first World Championship in 2025 as she reached the round of 16, having won bronze in the World Cup event at Astana, Kazakhstan in July of that year.
This was her second medal at World Cup level, following her silver at the GB Open in Sheffield in January 2024 after fighting Shona Whitwell in the final.
