Louise Sugden is set for an emotional return to the Commonwealth Games when she heads to Glasgow 2026.
The para powerlifter was forced to miss out on Birmingham 2022 after picking up an injury just a week before the start of the Games.
It was heartbreak for the Newbury native, who was looking to go one better than the silver medal she won at Gold Coast 2018.
Glasgow will be the latest chapter of a hugely impressive sporting career, which also includes a Paralympic bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Games.
Sugden’s journey began on the wheelchair basketball court and represented Team GB at the 2008 and 2012 Paralympics before switching to para powerlifting in 2017.
