Lizzi Jordan will make her Commonwealth Games debut at Glasgow 2026, as she looks to add to her glittering medal collection.
Jordan has compiled an impressive record on two heels since losing her sight in 2017, winning Paralympic gold at Paris 2024 alongside six world titles.
The Surrey native lost her sight in 2017 as a result of optic nerve atrophy caused by a severe e-coli infection which left her in a medically-induced coma for two months.
But it took just six months before Jordan had completed a Parkrun with her dad as her guide and 18 months later she had completed the London Marathon while raising £15,000 for RNIB charity.
It was the latter feat that encouraged British Cycling to invite her to a Talent ID day in 2020, and after her first world title in the mixed team sprint in Glasgow in 2023, there was no stopping her.
In 2024, she joined up with pilot Danni Khan and just three months into their partnership stormed to three world titles at the Track World Championships in Rio de Janeiro.
Having added two more golds to their burgeoning medal cabinet in 2025, the duo will debut at the Commonwealth Games.
Jordan was appointed an MBE in 2025.
