Lauren Cox holds several strings to her bow, studying for a degree at the University of Loughborough and being one of the most promising swimmers in the country.

And, also notably, the 21-year-old demonstrates a strong environmental conscience whenever she swims.

Cox is an ambassador for INSTANT SWIM, a company that creates performance swimwear entirely from recycled plastics and donates a percentage of its profits to Ocean Generation - a charity set up to combat ocean threats.

Having picked up a string of titles and medals throughout her junior career, Cox broke through at the British Swimming Championships in 2022 with a personal best winning her 50m backstroke gold.

The swimmer won a brace of bronze relay medals at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in the 4x100 medley and mixed 4x100 medley races.

Swimming and Para-Swimming
Tom Dean aka “The SubmaDean” followed up his double Olympic triumph at Tokyo 2020 by making history in Birmingham, becoming the first Home Nations athlete to win seven medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
