Britain’s most successful female Olympic athlete, Dame Laura Kenny added a second Commonwealth gold to her haul of major Games medals at Birmingham 2022.

Kenny, who began cycling as a youngster with older sister Emma, came out on top in the women's scratch race in the Midlands, as well as claiming bronze in the team pursuit

Sixty-five medals later - 44 of them gold - she now sits atop a list of legendary British athletes.

Kenny captured the attention of the British public at the London 2012 Olympic Games where, aged 20, she won two of her five Olympic golds.

There is sure to be much fanfare surrounding the 31-year-old, who is married to fellow cycling legend Jason Kenny, as she looks to build towards another Olympics in Paris.
