A rider on the rise, Josh Charlton is the current owner of the men’s individual pursuit rainbow jersey having become world champion last year.
He made a splash at the 2024 Track World Championships as he set a new world record in the heats, going below four minutes before ultimately claiming the silver medal.
The County Durham native then claimed gold in the same event at the 2025 European Championships, also winning team pursuit silver.
He will now look to add Commonwealth hardware to his growing medal collection in his first full year in the senior ranks.
Charlton was still able to compete in the under-23 ranks in 2025, becoming a double European champion in the individual and team pursuit.
Also competing on the road, Charlton joined Ineos Grenadiers Racing Academy where he is a time-trial specialist.
