Joe Truman has enjoyed a fruitful time at the Commonwealth Games, winning team sprint silver medals in both 2018 and 2022.
By the time he represented Team England for the first time in Gold Coast, Truman had already appeared at two World Championships, and he shone Down Under alongside Philip Hindes and Ryan Owens.
It was a sign of things to come for the then-21-year-old, who went on to spend time at Japan’s keirin school in a bid to hone his skill in the discipline.
Truman returned to the Commonwealth stage four years later, joining forces with Hamish Turnbull and Owens to clinch second place in the men's team sprint final behind Australia.
A crash on day two of competition saw his Games end early with silverware already in his pocket.
Since then, he has made it onto further podiums at world level - including team sprint silver in 2025 - as well as earning a first major title, European 1km time trial gold, in 2026.
