Joe Peplow made his Commonwealth Games debut as bowls made history in Glasgow.
Peplow played alongside a Games veteran, Kieran Rollings, who at just 26 was competing in his third Games having won bronze in the men’s para pairs at Birmingham 2022.
There was something new for everybody at Glasgow 2026 as the bowls went indoors for the first time at a Commonwealth Games.
At Glasgow 2026, Peplow and Rollings won bronze together in the pairs B6-B8 category.
The Malvern Hills Indoor Bowls Club athlete has had success indoors, being crowned national champion several times.
Peplow has also represented England, helping his country to the title at the 2023 Para Indoor Home Nations tournament
Bowls and Para Bowls
It was a hugely successful campaign at Leamington Spa’s Victoria Park and some thrilling games saw Team England leave the plush lawn with six medals including two gold, two silver and two bronze.
